Below, you’ll find a full list of events and programs designed to bring deeper connection, reflection, and joy to this special season.

High Holy Day programming this year includes these activities and events.
 
They are as follows:
  • Tefi-Float - a spiritual kayaking adventure at Winton Woods Park
  • Rosh Hashanah Family Experience
  • Rosh Hashanah Luncheon
  • Yom Kippur Family Experience
  • Social Action Project

TEFI-FLOAT
Join us for an outdoor worship experience and kayak adventure on the water at Loveland Kayak and Canoe. Cost is $40/person on September 13 at 10:30 a.m. Meet at 10:15 a.m.

ROSH HASHANAH LUNCHEON
Lunch will be served in the sanctuary at Matthew 25: Ministries at 1:00 p.m. Cost is $14/person.

Please choose from the following lunch options (all lunches include bottled water, chips, fruit, and a cookie)
  • Mixed Green Salad: with tomato, red onion, egg, cheese, croutons, and choice of dressing
  • Chicken Salad Wrap: chicken, mayonnaise, celery, onion, and lettuce
  • Veggie Wrap: spinach, tomato, cucumber, avocado, bell pepper, and red onion

ROSH HASHANAH + YOM KIPPUR FAMILY EXPERIENCES
The Rosh Hashanah Family Experience will be held at Temple Sholom on Tuesday, September 23 at 9:00 a.m.  
The Yom Kippur Family Experience will be held at Temple Sholom on Thursday, October 2 at 9:00 a.m. 

YOM KIPPUR SOCIAL ACTION PROJECT

Join Us for Our Yom Kippur Social Action Project
This Yom Kippur, we are proud to once again offer our meaningful service project—an opportunity to give back during this sacred time of reflection and action.

This year, we are partnering with Matthew 25: Ministries (M25M) to support their vital efforts in helping those in need. The project will begin with a guided tour of their Interactive Global Village, offering a powerful, immersive experience that showcases the global impact of M25M’s humanitarian work.

Important Information:

  • Returning volunteers: Please bring your M25M ID card.
  • New participants: A brief registration form is required by M25M. Please complete it in advance to ensure a smooth check-in process.

We look forward to serving together and making a meaningful difference.

KIDS' CLUB
 
Children are welcome to stay at Temple Sholom for fun and games from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM while parents attend services at Matthew 25 Ministries for both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. 


PIZZA IN THE HUT FOR SUKKOT
 
Join us for a family-friendly Shabbat service in the Sukkah as we celebrate Sukkot! 
Pizza dinner begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by Sukkot service which will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Temple Sholom. 
 

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 
 
All Temple Sholom congregants are invited to participate in High Holy Day services. Please choose the volunteer opportunities in which you are interested in participating.

NEED A PRAYER BOOK?
 
If you are not attending in-person services and need a High Holy Day prayer  book/machzor, you can borrow one from Temple Sholom!

You can pick up your machzor(s) at Temple Sholom and kindly return by Friday, October 31st. Personal copies can be purchased online at ccarpress.org.

TZEDAKAH OPPORTUNITIES

We invite you to help make the High Holy Days even more meaningful for our community and guests by sponsoring a special element of our services.

Sponsorships may be made in honor or in memory of a loved one, and are open to individuals, families, and groups. If you wish to co-sponsor with others, you may either coordinate your own group or let the Temple office know you’d like to be matched with fellow congregants.

You are welcome to support multiple areas that hold personal significance. Your generosity helps create a sacred and welcoming experience for all.

Thank you for your meaningful role in our community. While all contributions are deeply appreciated, donation amounts are suggested and may be given at any level that is comfortable for you.
Provides for the venue and technical needs
Provides for the High Holy Day musicians
Supports the annual Social Action Project
Supports the worship services
Provides security for High Holy Days

You are welcome to make a gift in the amount of your choice. Just enter the dollar amount of your donation (for example: 18.00, no $) in the space above.  


REMEMBRANCE & MEMORIAL

YIZKOR KADDISH LIST 
Please enter the names of loved ones who have passed away since last Rosh Hashanah to be included in the Yizkor Kaddish list for the Yom Kippur Yizkor Service.

Please include name, relationship, date of death, and either Hebrew or English.

Kindly indicate whether you would like each name added to your annual yahrzeit list and give your preference for observing the yahrzeit according to the Hebrew or English calendar (for example: John Smith  Friend  12/15/24  English)

Thank you for helping us honor the memory of those we have lost.

ROLL OF REMEMBRANCE 
The Roll of Remembrance honors the memory of departed loved ones through the mitzvah of tzedakah. Thank you for your generosity and for helping us honor those we hold dear. 
We kindly suggest a minimum donation of $36 for up to four names, and $10 for each additional name. Enclosed is my donation to include these names in the Roll of Remembrance and to support acts of tzedakah throughout the year.
 

MEMORIAL PLAQUES
Memorial Plaques can be ordered at a cost of $360 per plaque. Plaques can be ordered here and by including payment with this form.
Example:  John E. Smith  1939 - 2025  

Takes about 4-6 weeks to receive and the office will notify you when it is received.  "Reserved" plaques can also be purchased.

Memorial Plaques can be ordered at a cost of $360 per plaque. Payments may be made by check or billed to your Temple Sholom account. Please make checks payable to Temple Sholom.

The total amount of your donation, to be billed to your account or paid online, is shown above.


All donations received by August 29, 2025 will be recognized at services.
